At 70 MPG the RPM is right about 2,275, 75 it's 2,450, and 80 is 2,600. 35's with 4.88 should approximate these speeds/RPMs. I was worried about spinning the engine too much, but honestly it's much happier in the 2,200-2,600 RPM range, especially with thee big/heavy tires. It’s odd folks will spend $40k for a Jeep, $1500 in tires and/or wheels, a couple more grand in a lift, lights, etc. but are so reluctant to spend the $1k or so to re-gear to make the vehicle operate effectively in its power band.
