WebNov 12, 2024 · For my 08, the bolts holding the tensioner are too long. So to get them out, you have to lower or raise the engine to its lowest or highest point. What I did to remedy the reinstall is that I measured the bolt and got a slightly shorter one. Standard serpentine belts in oem setups can last 100k miles. You'll have to make sure all the pulleys are running true in all planes not just equal front to back.
