The cost of the 8 hours of Substance Abuse education is $65.00

December of 2017: Class will be held Saturday, December 09, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

January of 2017: Class will be held Saturday, January 13, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This is a 8 hour class.  The goal of this class is to educate and inform clients of the physical and psychological effects of drugs and alcohol.  Clients will learn the difference between drug use, abuse and dependence as well what codependency is.  They will learn to identify the negative effects of the use and abuse of drugs and alcohol and how these substances affect their body, brain and their relationships.  Clients will learn to develop and practice communication and refusal skills in different situations of their life.  Learn to improve socialization and communication skills by becoming aware of others needs.  They will learn how to become more open to receive feedback about drinking behaviors from others.  Clients will summarize and report their personal learning and how they will apply these skills to daily life.
